Hideki Matsui had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Tampico Stogies defeated the Santa
Fe Trailer Bitches in 11 innings by the score of 9 to 7 at the
ballpark.

Both teams were tied at 7 runs apiece after nine innings.  Tampico won the
game in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Rob Mackowiak started
the rally when he drew a walk.  Matsui next to the plate and he popped a
two-run clout over the fence (his 19th of the season) resulting in an
exciting win for Tampico and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town
fans.  A wild affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.  

Luis Vizcaino(2-1) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
Latroy Hawkins(2-1) ended up with the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 runs and
3 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.  

With this win, Tampico has a 30-46 record. They have been 4-6 lately.  With
this loss, Santa Fe has a 5-5 record of late, 48-28 overall.
